Shawn Barber

Shawnacy Campbell "Shawn" Barber (born 27 May 1994) is a Canadian track and field athlete specializing in the pole vault. He is the former world champion in pole vault having won the event with a height of 5.90 m at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing. Barber is also the reigning Pan American Games champion winning in Toronto in 2015 with a height of 5.80 m. Barber won a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow as well.

His outdoor personal best jump of 5.93 meters was made on July 25, 2015, it is the current national record. His indoor personal best is 6.00 metres from 2016 (Canadian Indoor Record). Barber is tied for the Pan Am record together with Lazaro Borges. He also holds the NCAA Collegiate Indoor Record at 5.91m.



Jenn Suhr

Jennifer "Jenn" Suhr (born February 5, 1982) is an American pole vaulter. She has been an Olympic and World champion, has been ranked #1 in the World, has been the #1 American pole vaulter since 2006, and has won a total of 15 US National Championships (6 Indoor, 9 Outdoor). She holds the world indoor pole vault record at 5.03 m (16 ft 6 in). She holds the American women's pole vault record indoors. In 2008, she won the U.S. Olympic trials, setting an American record of 4.92 m (16 ft 2 in) and won a silver medal in the Beijing Olympics. She won the gold medal at the London Olympics on August 6, 2012. Track & Field News named her American Female Athlete of the Year for 2008.



Demi Payne

Demi Payne (born September 30, 1991) is an American track and field athlete whose specialty is pole vaulting. She is the daughter of American pole vaulter Bill Payne. Payne competes collegiately for Stephen F. Austin State University. She competed in the pole vault event at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing, China. Demi Payne won gold medal on March 1, 2015 2015 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships Pole Vault with a height of 4.55 m (14 ft 11 in). She won a bronze medal June 28 2015 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Pole Vault with a height of 4.60 m (15 ft 1 in).

She grew up with a pole vault pit in the back yard, but didn't start vaulting until her sophomore year of high school. Payne first attended the University of Kansas for two and a half years where she was a mid-13 foot vaulter, but never made it to 14. "I went out on the weekends and I pole vaulted during the week and it really wasn't No. 1 for me." She said she got more focused while training after she learned she was pregnant. She gave birth to daughter Charlee on October 22, 2013. After transferring to Stephen F. Austin, to be closer to her family, she began marked improvement. She set the indoor and outdoor NCAA records at the time, though both were surpassed by Morris.

Her personal best is 4.90 m (16 ft 0​3/4 in).



Karsten Dilla

Karsten Dilla (born 17 July 1989) is a German athlete specialising in the pole vault. He represented his country at the 2011 World Championships without qualifying for the final.

His personal bests in the event are 5.72 metres outdoors (Jockgrim 2011) and 5.73 metres indoors (Bad Oeynhausen 2012).



Tobias Scherbarth

Tobias Scherbarth (born 17 August 1985 in Leipzig) is a German athlete specialising in the pole vault.

His personal bests in the event are 5.73 metres outdoors (Phoenix 2014) and 5.7662 metres indoors (Stuttgart 2009).
